It All Starts at the Well
At the corner of Cypress Avenue & Grove Street, there is a 400-foot-well that dives directly into the Florida aquifer. From the well life transforms. In the beginning, our special water source provided the people of Gainesville and the Atlantic and Seaboard Railroads ice to cool down their rail cars. Neighbors gathered as their children played in the cold pools of water from the ice plant. The tradition of community and friendship continues today. Now we gather over a crisp pint of beer as a new life sprouts around that very well.
We are two families that came together to share a passion for brewing delicious beer and growing a strong community.
New on Tap
Imperial Watermelon Gose
This tart wheat ale was kettle soured by wild Lactobacillus using a traditional German souring technique known as "Sauregut" which gives it a soft almost lemonade like tartness. Add in a little pink Himalayan salt and a generous dose of fresh-squeezed watermelon juice and this bigger than usual sour Gose might sneak up on you.
